Kogi UBEC/ SUBEB COMMENCES 2024 Capital Projects Bid opening

 


Contractors handling the year 2024 Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC)/State Universal Basic Education Board's(SUBEB) projects have been told to work  in accordance with the established designs and specifications.



Chairman of SUBEB Alhaji Abdulrazaq Mohammed Yusuf gave the urged during the bid opening of 2024 capital projects.


Alhaji Abdulrazaq said his work was made easy by the smooth relationship he has with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other stakeholders in SUBEB, emphasized the need to avoid substandard job.


He said the projects which cut across the three Senatorial districts of the state are to be executed within six to eight weeks.


The chairman warned that some contractors in the past have been a bunch of disappointment to board assuring that no one will paid for a job not properly executed.



In a remark, a Director in the Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr Friday Ameh said the Director General of the Bureau recognized the work done by SUBEB noting that the opening of the bid is a demonstration of transparency, accountability and quality jobs.


Similarly, the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Mr Idris Aliyu said the Assembly will always brief the Governor about the happenings in all ministries, agencies and parastatals.




He commended the chairman for reviewing the screening exercise earlier done that led to the disengagement of some teachers saying the review will allow those with genuine cases to get back to the statem.


Speaking onbehalf the of the contractors, Mr Yusuf Salifu said all contractors will stick to specification and designs.
