Secretary of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Salisu Adakeke applauded Gov for exemplary leadership in education sector



The  Secretary of the kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Salisu Adakeke has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the support given to board over years for effective implementation of education policies.

Alhaji Salisu Adakeke made remarks while speaking with newsmen shortly after the  twenty-twenty- four Capital Projects bid opening in Lokoja.

The Secretary also appreciated  the Governor for continuous payment of counterpart contributions inline with the National Universal Primary Education Policy said the  Governor has demonstrated his love for the educational sector in all spheres.

"Aside from that, he has also demonstrated to the people and the results are there for us to see"he said .

According to him, Kogi State today is one of the states that has low out-of-school children in the country ,saying that these is because of the passion the Governor has for the children have been dragged into school because of the services that have been provided since the Governor assumed office.

He assured that good infrastructural services are extended to all communities regardless of tribes and religion background and advised the contractors handling various projects to lived up to specifications .

He explained that procedures and processes during the bid opening is to ensure the infrastructural facilities, classrooms, chairs, books and instructions materials were distributed to learners for effective teaching and learning.

He appealed to the contractors to work with the board instructions to  avoid embarrassment.



Also speaking, Permanent Member One of the Board, Mallam Dauda Aliu applauded kogi State governor Alhaji  Usman Ahmed Ododo for giving the matching grant of Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board to execute laudable programme that have direct impact on the lives of it citizens through education for all.aplauded

 Mallam Dauda Aliu also applauded the Executive chairman of the Board for putting necessary machinery  in place to ensure bid opening was huge success .

The permanent member one also charged contractors to speed up and avoid shoddy job in their given assignments to ensure  good conducive learning in school . 

He praised the Governor for the prompt payment of teachers salary at as when due.
