Eje Ofu, HRH Dr. A. Obaje Celebrates 5th Year Anniversary on the throne in Grand style As Mark Okpanachi Ogah,Mrs Patricia Ifeanyiwna Mark Okpanachi, Engr. Friday Michael, 23 others conferred  with Chieftaincy titles the Ejeh Ofu charges them to be good Ambassadors of the Area.


The ancient city of Ugwolawo headquarters of Ofu LGA of Kogi State was agog with friends, associates from within and outside Kogi State as Eje Ofu, HRH Dr. A. Akwu celebrated his 5th year on the throne and marked his birthday anniversary in appreciation to God, the good people of Ofu LGA.



His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State who was represented by his deputy, His Excellency, Elder Joel Oyibo Salifu,the newly coronated title holders and the general public for celebrating with him at the occasion at his palace.


The Eje equally appreciated the presence of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM, Alhaji.Ibrahim Anaje, the Eje Ankpa, Eje Dekina,Eje Ibaji, Ogohi Onu Anyigba, Ohi of Ajaokuta, other traditional rulers from within and outside the state, sons and daughters of Kogi East Senatorial District and other distinguished personalities.



The Eje Ofu, HRH Dr. A. Akwu further stated that, exactly this time five years ago, God made him to be appointed as the Eje Ofu after the stool became vacant following the transition of the former occupant, HRH,late Boniface Adebo.


He appreciated the Former Executive Governor of Kogi State,His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Attah Igala, HRM,Alaji Mathew Opaluwa Oguche and Ofu Area traditional rulers for the opportunity to ascend to the throne of his forefathers adding that his stay has been marked by the current prevailing peace, love and continued development in the area.



He also appreciated the newly coronated chiefs for showing leadership and good characters through their massive contributions and investments to the development of human society , adding that this recognition should be an opportunity for them to do more and also to  motivate others to remember their people by investing into the society through various means of empowerment .

Responding on behalf of the chiefs, Hon.Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah who is the Omachi Eje  and his beloved Chief wife Mrs. Patricia Ifeanyiwna ,Mark Okpanachi Ogah who was also coronated as Ochonia Eje with Salutation Odo !!,appreciated the Eje Ofu, HRH Dr. A. Akwu for finding him, his wife and 24 others worthy to be conferred with very  important chieftains titles,adding that contributing to society's development has always  be part of their lives and promised they would continue to work for the progress of the area and humanity most especially for the good people of Idah/Ofu/ Igalamela-Odolu and Ibaji Federal Constituency.


He appreciated the presence of the Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Chief Mrs. Comfort Nwuchola Egwaba, the Executive Chairmen of Ibaji,Idah,Ofu, Igalamela Odolu LGA as well as All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmen from the federal constituency and other well wishers from across the state for celebrating with him and others on the occasion of their conferment of chieftaincy titles, adding that God will reward each and everyone that came to celebrate with them.



In another development, a group called Advocacy for Youth Leadership in Governance has once again honoured Hon.Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah as the Most Resourceful Grassroots Politician in the 21st century and for his outstanding performance in humanitarian affairs, the leader of the group Comrade Ajinomoh Abiodun while presenting the award stated that their eagle eyes identified the philanthropist gestures,grass root mobilization network, excellent in leadership among others demonstrated by  Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah and that the award is meant to encourage him to do more and wish him more adventure in life.



Responding, Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah thanked the organization for finding him worthy for this award all the way from Kaduna State and that it is a good signpost that Nigerians are watching and appreciating his little contributions towards lifting humanity to the next level of development. 


He urged the group to continue to add positive value by recognizing excellent works among various personalities.


Highlight was the presentation of the award and group photograph with Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah, his beloved Wife Chief, Mrs Patricia Ifeanyiwna Mark Okpanachi Ogah among others.
