KOGI FORMER GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO MOVES MOTION FOR THE ENDORSEMENT OF TINUBU, ODODO FOR 2027*
In a show of unity and solidarity, former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. The event took place on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja.
The endorsement rally brought together key stakeholders in the party, including ward, Local government executives, state exco members, party stalwarts, women, and youth wings. The event was proof of the widespread support enjoyed by President Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, who have been credited with visionary leadership and progressive governance.
The former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello who moved the motion for the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to run for both Presidential and gubernatorial election respectively also expressed his unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which has been the guiding principle for the current administration. The party's endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo is a clear indication of its resolve to continue supporting their policies and programs.
While Speaking further, the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, described President Tinubu as a humanist and a courageous man who means well in his efforts to move Nigeria to the next level of concrete social, economic and political development in all ramifications.
Bello also commended Governor Ododo for embarking on people -oriented policies and programmes that are for the well-being of Kogites and urged the people to vote for the president and Ododo in the next election, assuring them that “under APC,we shall get to the promise land.”
In his words, ""Today we are here to endorse the re-election of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Kogi State is the first state to come out with this template. We charge all other state of the federation to follow suit.
We are urging president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest for the presidential seat of 2027.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu joined other nationalists to fight for Democracy in Nigeria and today we are enjoying the democracy.
He has maintained his own structure of Party from AD to AC, AC to ACN and ACN to APC. This man never shifts his allegiance to his own belief.
We also commend the late sage, former Governor of Kogi State Prince Abubakar Audu who laboured together with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and late president Mohamad Buhari.
To every other political party at the federal level and the State Government, it is the grace of APC that is carrying them all.
All of you are my children and we still have grand children who will follow us.
Today I put a motion to us that from the State level through the Local Government Areas to the wards I move the motion for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to run for the second term"
The motion was seconded by Senator smart Adeyemi.
Governor Ododo thanked the people of Kogi State for the confidence reposed on him to run for the gubatorial election come 2027. He also thanked president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Renewed Hope Initiative that has transformed the lives of Nigerians.

I refused to be scared because I have Mr. President and mentor Former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello on my side".

The event was brought to a close with a motion moved by the former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and seconded by Senator smart Adeyemi urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to run for presidential and gubernatorial election come 2027.
