UBEC ORGANIZES SMASE CYCLES 4-5 COHORT TRAINING FOR STATE INSECT CORE TEACHERS FROM TWENTY ONE LGAs OF THE STATE
In an efforts to improve on teaching and learning in kogi State , the Universal Basic Education Commission in collaboration with SUBEB organises SMASE CYCLES 4-5 COHORT TRAINING FOR STATE INSECT, CORE FOR TEACHERS FROM TWENTY ONE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF THE STATE with ITS theme CO- CREATION OF LEARNING KEY TO SUSTAINABLE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Strengthening Mathematics and Science Education) was held in Lokoja the state capital.
The five days programme which was held in Lokoja brought participants from the three Senatorial Districts of the State.
Speaking at the closing ceremony the State Chairman Universal Basic Education Commission, Mallam Abdulrazaq Mohammed Yusuf represented by the Director Training of the Board, Mallam Ishaq Ibrahim said the training programme become imperative to ensure quality education in learning and teaching in schools to enable impact more knowledge to students.
Mallam Abdulrazaq Mohammed Yusuf enumerated the importance of education in all sectors of economy, hence it will go along ways to inculcate moral discipline among the teachers and students in both primary and secondary levels.
He explained that the present administration is working tirelessly to ensure qualitative education, adding the government under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo would not lived any stone unturned to ensure education for all citizens in the state.
In a remark, the Director Quality Assurance at the State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Usman Asibita called on the participants to use the knowledge acquired from the training programme to impact on their pupils and students in their respective schools of the state.
Alhaji Usman while commending the facilitators for the job well-done emphasized that the SMASE is a laudable programme that enhance teaching and learning in Schools.
Speaking, the Desk Officer , Mrs Joy Isah explained that the programme is an eye opener to participants to broad their knowledge on how to ensure professional development in their field of teaching plan on systematic way most expecially of lesson plans.
In their separate remarks, one of the participants from the Eastern Senatorial District, Hajia Fatima Zakari, Mrs Alice Isaiah from kogi Central and Obayomi Sunday from kogi West promised to used the knowledge acquired from the programme to use it in their day- day activities in choosen carrier which will give teachers critical thinking .
Highlight of the programme was the presentations of certificates to Teachers for effective teaching in their various schools 🏫
