Kogi Coordinator of NAFDAC Reiterates Commitment Towards a Healthy Nation

  The National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), has reiterated its commitment to sustain the market and control of regulatory products for a healthy nation.  Kogi State Coordinator of (NAFDAC), Pharmacist Benu Mawo Philip gave the assurance in an interview with newsmen in Lokoja. Pharmacist Benu said NAFDAC will not relent its efforts to safeguard the health of the nation by ensuring that goods manufactured meets up with the world class standard. The Coordinator noted that the Agency of recent embarked on the monitoring and distributions of low volume alcohol and placing the products on hold for total curb the distributions. He however emphasized that at the national level, the Agency has been able to tackle the manufacturers of low volume alcoholic drinks assuring that it will soon be totally out of the market space. FTH Lokoja, i-CARE Holds Maiden Prostate Cancer Support Group Meeting to Boost Patient Care

  The Urology Unit of Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH) Lokoja on Monday, held its maiden Prostate Cancer Support Group Meeting to improve patients' quality of life and clinical attendance.  The meeting was a follow-up to a summit held on November 11, 2025, which brought together stakeholders to discuss ways to tackle prostate cancer in Kogi State.  The initiative, supported by the Inclusive Cancer Care Research Equity (i-CARE) Consortium for Black Men, with a research initiative that aims to examine the incidence of anxiety, depression, and determine the quality of life of patients who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
