Ebulejonu Daughters Development Association of Nigeria has inaugurated new Exco in kogi state



The Ebulejonu Daughters Development Association of Nigeria has inaugurated new members to run it's affairs in the next four  years.



Speaking at the  inauguration ceremony, the outgone National President of the Association, Chief (Mrs) Grace Akowe urged  the association to uphold the long cherished ethical values of Igala  race and promote respect for the institution.


Mrs  Grace Akowe  who made the remarks st the inauguration of the newly elected National officers in Lokoja.said  the  association was established to encourage to give moral and financial support to the members irrespective of their political differences and religion.


The outgone National President explained that the association was founded in 1984 and was inaugurated  on the second July 1988 by some Igala women which idea was conceived to cater for the needs of Igala women and youths.


According to her, 🇵🇳 the Executive members achieved a lot in the area of organizing Igala Assembly in Anyigba, brought to limelight the Igala Achi and Wrapper as Igala Identifty, Uniform Cloth for Igala women meeting in the country and beyond,sponsored Igala weekly Magazine Programme on  National Television Authority (NTA) in local contents where issues of Igala race were discussed before the advent of Social Media platforms.


Other areas of achievements  according to her, include positively impacted of women and youth in the areas of employment opportunities to absorb in positions of authority in government and non- governmental organizations in the country.


Earlier, the National President of Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA,) Surgeon- Mohammed Abdullahi urged women to participate fully in politics which aim is to bring positive development to Igala land.


Also speaking, the State Chairman of ICDA,  Doctor Francis Faruna called on the womenfork to work in synergy to fostal unity among all Igala race which he noted would bring development closer to door steps of the people.



In a remark, the Onu Igala Lokoja,  His Highness , Chief Joseph Akpa (JB) encouraged Ebulejonu Daughters Association to continue to lived in peace and encourage one another irrespective of their political and religious backgrounds to move the association to greater heights.


In their separate goodwill messages, Ebira People Association called on women to ensure peaceful atmosphere for positive deposition,  National President Council of  Women Society of Nigeria Okun Women group, Okomu Igala representative, Alhaji Musa Audu promised to stand Strongly with the incoming Exco members to succeed in the task ahead.


Also speaking, the one time Head of Service, kogi State, Doctor Sabina Attah enlogises the performance of the outgone National President Chief (Mrs) Grace Akowe for her laudable achievements in the past four years.


The representative of Okun Women lady Association ,Mrs Rosemary Alabi said Igala women was one of the formidable association to racon with because of their unity among themselves in the state.



In her acceptance speech, the newly elected National  President of Ebulejonu Daughters Development Association, Doctor  Hajara Monica Dauda promised to justify the confidence repose in them  and promised  to work in collaboration with the outgone President of the association to uphold its rules and regulations to promote development in Kogi state and Igala land particular adding that she would not disappoint them.


Doctor Dauda explained that the association would continue to partner with the Kogi State government to provide purposeful leadership to the association at all times particularly as the campaign for Governor and President gather momentum in the country.






The New Executive Officers include, Doctor Monica Hajara Dauda President, Vice President,One Mrs Hasebe Mohammed, Secretary General, Mrs Rebecca Acheneje, Financial Secretary,  Mrs Nancy Aruwa, Treasurer Mrs Mary Akpa, Public Relations officer One ,Mrs Polina Adejo PRO One, ,Mrs Lydia Shaibu  would serve as Auditor, Blessing Apala is the Legal Officer.


Others are Mrs .Monica Achor Welfare Officer One, Provost, Mrs Joy Achema, Ex Officio Chief Mrs Grace Akowe among others.


Barrister Victoria Apala administered the oath of office to the New Executive Officers during the inauguration ceremony held in Lokoja, kogi State.
