Kogi LG Youth Mobilizer Isah Ada-Abu Declares Support for Ododo, Tinubu, Aguye, Maikudi's Re-election in 2027
A former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Culture and Tourism and current Local Government Assistant, to the Kogi State Governor, Hon. Isah Abubakar Ada-Abu, has thrown his weight behind key All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Lokoja, the young political heavyweight named Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, House of Representatives member for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye, and Kogi/Koton-Karfe State Constituency lawmaker, Hon. Idrees Aliyu Maikudi, as his preferred candidates.
Ada-Abu also known as Oracle of Kogi Youth vowed to mobilise his domain to ensure their victory, describing it as a collective stake for his people.
Ada-Abu, who previously served as the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Coordinator for Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area and Vice Chairman for Kogi West in the council, argued that these leaders have performed exceptionally well to deserve second terms.
He cautioned party members against sabotaging the APC's chances in Kogi State, insisting that denying them re-election would undermine ongoing progress.
"My major stake in the 2027 elections is to see Ododo, Tinubu, Aguye, and Maikudi re-elected," he declared emphatically.
The Dabara of Igu-Koton-Karfe Kingdom, singled out Hon. Idrees Maikudi for special praise, stating that the lawmaker has effectively represented the constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly (KSHA).
He warned that denying Maikudi a second term would silence the area's voice in the legislative arm, robbing Koton-Karfe of vital advocacy for development.
"Idrees Aliyu Maikudi has done very well and should be allowed to complete his tenure," Ada-Abu stressed, adding that a second term would amplify the push for constituency growth.
Ada-Abu dismissed a recent Kogi LG stakeholders' meeting in Abuja where some voices opposed continuity for the current representatives.
He expressed dismay that such gatherings could foster disunity and stall governance in Kogi State.
According to him, the meeting's resolutions risk promoting division at a time when unity is crucial for the APC's dominance.
He urged party faithful to prioritise harmony over personal agendas.
In a direct appeal, the former NYCN coordinator called on Hon. Mohammed Abubakar Bashir, Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, to intervene urgently and prevent the situation from escalating.
Ada-Abu believes Engr. Bashir Gegu, who has positively impacted the area, would not stand idly by as saboteurs threaten established legacies.
"The commissioner must wade in before things get out of control," he pleaded.
Highlighting Engr. Bashir Gegu's leadership, Ada-Abu described him as a responsive leader who heeds the people's yearnings and creates a level playing field for all.
The commissioner's efforts, he noted, have fostered inclusivity and growth in Kogi/Koton-Karfe.
Ada-Abu expressed confidence that Bashir Gegu would protect these gains from detractors, ensuring sustained development.
Turning to Hon. Idrees Aliyu Maikudi's scorecard, Ada-Abu reeled off landmark achievements that have reshaped the constituency's legislative history.
These include empowerment programmes for women, youth, and APC supporters; scholarship disbursements to indigenous students; provision of potable water, provision of Solar Street light, facilitation of job placements for unemployed youths; and distribution of motorcycles to party stalwarts.
He emphasised that these initiatives have directly addressed the of then constituents needs and boosted livelihoods.
Ada-Abu also commended Aliyu Maikudi for fiercely protecting Kogi/Koton-Karfe's interests in the KSHA, ensuring the area's concerns receive priority attention.
Such advocacy, he said, has elevated the constituency's profile on the state's political stage.
"Aliyu Maikudi's inputs and suggestions have placed Kogi/Koton-Karfe in the spotlight," the Dabara Igu Koton-karfe Kingdom affirmed.
In a resounding endorsement, Ada-Abu passed a vote of confidence on the incumbent lawmaker, urging constituents to rally behind him for 2027.
He called for collective action to sustain the momentum of progress under APC leadership.
As Kogi's political landscape heats up, voices like Ada-Abu's signal strong grassroots support for continuity.
