Olukiri Of Kiri Kingdom Appeals For More Presence Of Security Agencies In The Area
The Olukiri of Kiri Kingdom in Kabba Bunnu Local Government Area, Olu James Abayomi Ikusemoro has appealed for more interventions towards security challenges posed by the men of the underworld.
Ikusemoro made the appeal while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja.
He said his community has been ravaged by the waves of crimes leading to panic and total migration of the natives in some cases.
The Traditional Ruler sadly recalled the abduction of two prominent traditional titled holders, Chief Samuel Fagbemi and Chief Zacheaus Fagbemi who were kidnapped of recent.
The Olukiri of Kiri Kingdom appealed to the State Government and illustrious sons and daughters of Okun nation to step in by facilitating more presence of security agencies in the area.
He maintained that a whole lot can be achieved security wise if efforts is channelled towards creating more police post and army forward base in the area.
Ikusemoro emphasized that the kingdom with over forty nine communities needs the intervention in order to boost people's confidence to return to their ancestral homes without fear of unwarranted attack.
While pledging his people's support to Ododo led administration, the traditional ruler prayed for divine favour and wisdom for Governor Ododo and the members of his cabinet.
