  Kogi State Government and Sightsavers, have called for collective action to eliminate Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) and achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC).  The state marked World NTD Day, highlighting the importance of uniting efforts to combat diseases that affect over one billion people worldwide. The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, made the call at a press briefing to commemorate World NTD Day on Friday in Lokoja.   The Kogi State Government has handed over the site for the construction of a Model Veterinary Hospital, a flagship project under the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project.  The Model Veterinary Hospital, to be built at the Cattle Value Cluster Osara, Adavi Local Government Area, aims to strengthen animal health systems, improve livestock productivity, and enhance food safety and security.   The National Youth Coalition for Good Governance (NYCGG) has issued a statement condemning attempts to blackmail the Commandant -General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof Abubakar Audi Ahmed OFR MNI.
