Group Disowns Allegations of Misappropriation of Fund By NSCDC BOSS

 


The National Youth Coalition for Good Governance (NYCGG) has issued a statement condemning attempts to blackmail the Commandant -General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof Abubakar Audi Ahmed OFR MNI. The group describes Prof Ahmed as a "pragmatic and able" leader who has worked hard to build his good reputation.


According to the NYCGG, investigations have revealed that no evidence to support allegations of withholding promotion salary arrears or other misconduct. The collation believes these claims are baseless and an attempt by enemies of progress to tarnish Prof Ahmed's name and undermine his efforts to reposition and reform the NSCDC.


NYCGG President Daniel Ameh urges Nigerians to support Prof Ahmed, stating, "As civil society, we have done our background checks and nothing to show that the CG is withholding promotion salary arrears. We advice that at this particular time, the sector is working hard to put more useful and meaningful reforms, we should all support and encourage him to do more than the cheap blackmail coming from the enemies within."


The statement reflects the group's confidence in Prof Ahmed's leadership and commitment to reforming the NSCDC.
