POLICE COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE (PCRC) KOGI STATE COMMAND OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF HIS EXCELLENCY, ALHAJI AHMED USMAN ODODO (27TH JANUARY 2026)

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Kogi State Command, under the leadership of Hon. Eld. Aaron H. Ali, congratulates His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, on the occasion of his second anniversary in office on 27th January 2026.

Since assuming Office on 27th January 2024, Governor Ododo has demonstrated focused and visionary leadership, beginning with the prompt formation of his cabinet, a clear indication of an administration driven by preparedness and purpose.

Within two Years, His Excellency has taken bold steps to reposition Kogi State economically, notably with the signing of a ₦50 billion bond for the establishment of a State-owned airport and a modern market, strategic projects expected to stimulate massive employment, attract investment, and secure long-term prosperity for the State.

The Ododo Administration has restored confidence among workers through the full restoration of Local Government workers’ salaries, consistent monthly salary payments, early implementation of the New National minimum wage, enhanced pensioner allowances, and free medical care for low-income pensioners under the Bello Care Health Insurance Programme.

In Education, the Governor has sustained the payment of WAEC fees for public School Students, continued Scholarships for indigent Kogi Students Nationwide, and improved funding for all State-owned tertiary institutions, resulting in industrial harmony across campuses.

Governor Ododo has also entrenched inclusive governance, with Women occupying strategic leadership positions across the 21 Local Government Areas, the State Executive Council, and other key appointments.

On security, the administration has strengthened collaboration and operational capacity through the provision of patrol vehicles, modern security equipment, surveillance drones, recovery of illegal arms, and demolition of criminal hideouts across the state—measures that align with the core mandate of the PCRC.

Infrastructure development has been balanced across the three senatorial districts, including key road projects such as the Iyale–Oganenigu Road in Dekina Local Government Area.

As Kogi State marks this milestone on 27th January 2026, the PCRC Kogi State Command commends the sterling leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and calls on all residents to continue supporting the administration in the collective pursuit of peace, security, and sustainable development.

One Good Term Deserves Another.

Signed:

Hon. Eld. Aaron H. Ali,

State Chairman
