City Boy Movement Holds Inaugural Meeting in Lokoja, Charges Members to Mobilise for Tinubu–Ododo Re-Election

The City Boy Movement for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has held its inaugural meeting in Lokoja, Kogi State, with a strong call on members to mobilise eligible voters ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Members of the movement urged eligible voters across the state to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and e-registration exercise to enable them participate effectively in delivering victory for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in their second-term bids.

Speaking at the meeting held over the weekend, the Kogi State Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah, charged members to remain committed and proactive. He vowed that the movement would intensify mobilisation, sensitisation, and grassroots engagement across the state in support of the Tinubu–Ododo ticket.

Hon. Ogah explained that the City Boy Movement would continue to strategise and campaign nationwide for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections. A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, he reaffirmed that the APC-led administrations at both federal and state levels have performed creditably, citing projects and policies with direct positive impact on the lives of citizens.

He stressed the need for unity and coordination among members, noting that the task ahead requires collective effort and sustained mobilisation. According to him, the project has only just begun in earnest, with a clear objective of achieving a “win-win” outcome for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in 2027.

Hon. Ogah also pledged to work closely with Seyi Tinubu, who has been championing the City Boy Movement across the country, and appealed to members in Kogi State to work together to strengthen the movement and expand its reach.

Earlier in his remarks, the Kogi State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Mr. Jerry Olayemi, expressed confidence in the journey ahead, describing it as smooth and achievable with unity of purpose. He appealed to members to join hands with the State Director to actualise the movement’s vision for the progress and development of Kogi State.

Olayemi emphasised the importance of teamwork in the political terrain, assuring that Kogi State would not rest on its oars in working towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in 2027. He added that members would intensify efforts in their respective local government areas to ensure sustained growth and success of the movement in the years ahead.

According to him, President Tinubu and Governor Ododo deserve a second term based on their leadership style, political experience, and commitment to good governance under the APC.

Contributing, several men and women of the City Boy Movement highlighted the importance of sustained mobilisation for re-election, noting that their activities have continued to generate positive multiplier effects among citizens at the grassroots.

Also speaking, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, assured that the City Boy Movement in Kogi State would do everything possible to return Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to power in the next elections.

The meeting attracted members from across the twenty-one local government areas of Kogi State, including elected political office holders and councillors from various local government councils
