History: Sanni Ogembe Betrayed Natasha and TAO.....Then Who’s Next?

Image
Politics is often described as a game of loyalty, strategy, and timing. But in Kogi politics, another question is beginning to echo louder across the corridors of power: Who’s next to be betrayed? The name at the center of this conversation is Sanni Ogembe. In politics, relationships matter. Mentorship matters. Political structures are built on trust, sacrifice, and alliances. But what happens when every political bridge that helped a man rise somehow ends up burned? Back in the buildup to the 2023 elections, many political observers in Kogi watched closely as Natasha Akpoti became one of the strongest voices and power brokers within the PDP structure in Kogi Central. Natasha had built a movement that resonated with young people, women, and frustrated voters across the district. Her influence within the PDP was undeniable, especially after her transition from SDP into the PDP ahead of the elections.   Within that political atmosphere, Sanni Ogembe emerged as the PDP House of R...

APC Was Right to Withhold Clearance: Leadership Must Be Earned, Not Manufactured

Image
The controversy over Sanni Ogembe’s failure to secure APC clearance has moved beyond academic credentials. It now raises deeper questions about credibility, political loyalty, and whether Nigerians are ready to end the recycling of questionable leadership standards in public office. For weeks, supporters have advanced a narrow defense: “He has a WAEC result.” But many Nigerians are asking a different question: why is there such desperation to defend a single point while avoiding broader concerns about his political conduct and qualifications? This is where the conversation must shift. Nigeria can no longer afford to place individuals with unresolved documentation issues, contested academic backgrounds, and divided political loyalties into positions of influence.  The country has paid too high a price for leadership built on manipulation, propaganda, and entitlement rather than merit and transparency. The APC screening process exists for a reason. Political parties are expected to a...
