Ukomu Igala kogi State chapter elected New Executive Officers to run it's Affairs



Ukomu Igala Organization Lokoja Chapter has elected New Executive Officers  to run it's affairs for the next years with a call to be united for the progress of the organization.



In a message to the inauguration ceremony in Lokoja, the  National Leader of the organization,  Retired Major General J.A Ataguba said the Ukomu Igala was idea borne out of conviction to ensure development closer to the people  of Igala kingdom .


The inauguration ceremony which coincided with the end of the year get together explained that the Igala as ninth largest  local government in west Africa would not be lagging behind in it political activities.



Retired Major General J A Ataguba who was represented by the Administrative Secretary of the organization, Ahmed Hussein explained that the Ukomu Igala has worked tirelessly in recent times through establishment of Military Formation in Ogidibege junction in kogi East through the help of the Defence Ministry.


Retired Major General J A Ataguba while calling on the well-to-do  Igala son's and daughters to rise up to challenges by drawing Federal projects to the land which he noted would go along way in improving the well-being of the people.


He commended the Ukomu Igala in kogi and Nigeria as whole for their unwavering contribution to development of Igala nation.


The Leader urged the newly inaugurated Exco to remain  united to move the organization forward and charged members to support  the newly executive in their efforts to paddle the organization to greater heights.


In his welcome address, the out gone chairman, Chief Dejoh Amidu said that the road was smooth since inception of Ukomu Igala and re emphasized that no Association can move forward without the support of members .


He commended the National Leader, Retired Major General Ataguba for his support over the years and appealed to him not to relent.



In his goodwill message, the Onu Igala Lokoja, Chief Joseph Akpa lauded  the Ukomu Igala as one umbrella among others Associations in kogi state



He called on the new executive members to build on the lagncy on the predecessor  for the progress and development of the Igala land.

In his remark, the Egume Ome Descendant Union represented by Joel Jajah, the Igalamela chairman of Ukomu Igala, Yunusa Abdullahi , the  permanent Secretary  Shuaibu Jibrin described the organization as one of formidable organization over the years and appealed to Igala son's and daughters to support the organization and contribute positively for it growth and development.


In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated chairman, Alhaji Iliasu Ihiabe thanked the National leader, Major General J A Ataguba for his contributions since inception of Ukomu Igala in piloting the affairs of the organization.


Alhaji Iliasu Ihiabe also commended the committee members, Administrative Secretary, Elder Gabriel Edicha for standing by organizations to succeed and assured that the new Exco would continue to work tirelessly to move the organization forward and also promised to be transparent and accountability it deserves of the Association.
