JOINT NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, NIGERIA* FELICITATION TO WOMEN IN DISABILITY COMMUNITY AND ALL WOMEN IN NIGERIA
We, the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria, under the leadership of Comrade Abdullahi Aliyu Usman, extend our warmest felicitations to all women in the disability community and women across Nigeria on this special day.
Women are the backbone of our society, and their contributions to nation-building are invaluable. From the homes to the workforce, women have consistently demonstrated their resilience, strength, and determination. We appreciate the tireless efforts of women in shaping the future of Nigeria.
We use this medium to commend the inclusive orientation of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, through her Renew Hope Initiative, which has made a profound impact on the lives of women in Nigeria. Her dedication to empowering women and promoting inclusivity is a beacon of hope, and we applaud her efforts.
As we approach the 2027 election, we encourage all women to participate actively in the political process. Your voices matter, and your participation is crucial to shaping the future of our nation. We urge women to seize this opportunity to make a difference.
To our sisters with disabilities, we say, do not see yourselves as second-hand citizens. You are capable, talented, and valuable members of society. Prove to yourselves and the world that you are forces to be reckoned with. Your contributions to families and nation-building are essential, and we encourage you to keep pushing boundaries.
We also acknowledge the efforts of women with disabilities who have broken barriers and achieved greatness despite the challenges they face. You are an inspiration to many, and your stories will continue to motivate others to strive for excellence.
As we celebrate women, we must recognize the importance of inclusivity and accessibility. We call on the government and stakeholders to prioritize the needs of women with disabilities, ensuring equal access to opportunities, education, and healthcare.
To all women in Nigeria, we say, keep shining! Your strength, courage, and resilience are an inspiration to us all. Together, let's build a more inclusive, equitable, and prosperous Nigeria.
*Long live Nigerian women!*
*Long live the disability community!*
