Salah: Kogi Head Of Project Management Financial Unit , Aliyu Abdulazeez Greets Gov Ododo, Muslims at 2026 Eid al-Fitri

 


Kogi State Head of Project Management Financial Unit, World Bank Assisted, Office of the Accountant General of Kogi State,Mallam Aliu Abdulazeez has extended his warmest greetings to the state, Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, his Deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo, Accountant General of Kogi State, Chief Dr. Habibat Tijani Onumoko, Director General of Kogi State Government House Administration, Dr Umar Shuaibu Oricha, Muslim brethren and none Muslims alike on the celebration of 2026, eid al-Fitri , which  mark the end of the month- long fasting of the month of Ramadan. 



Abdulazeez, in a message of felicitation to the Muslims community congratulated the Governor and  adherents of Holy Prophet Muhammad [PBUH]  for the sound health and strength granted them to scale through the hurdle of the fasting period despite the harsh weather condition as the Ramadan lasted. 




According to him, the commemoration of Salah is the celebration of the completion of the training in the school of Ramadan where they attended the courses  in patience, perseverance, honestly, and consciousness of the Almighty insisting that I'd al-Fitri is an occasion on which Muslims are expected to bask in an uncommon happiness, particularly for their ability to connect with the Almighty Allah and especially at the time when profanity and bestiality have become fashionable. 


He, Urged the celebrants and citizens to imbibe the virtues of love, forgiveness, extends gifts to brethren that are facing adversity, kindness in line with the Prophet's advice , adding that the season calls for attention to the power of the spiritual realm, it takes away Muslims from the concern for the ephemeral for that which is eternal and salvation here on earth and in the hereafter lie in how steady we are in focusing on the Almighty and grateful we are for His blessings. 


Abdulazeez ,used the occasion to showered encomiums on the state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his administration's superlative performance in the welfare of workers and caring for the senior Citizens saying that the recent salay payment for civil servants on the thirteen of this month to enable them celebrate salah will certainly go down in history. 


He called for unwavering support to Governor Ododo's led administration from the citizens to enable him sustained the tempo of human and infrastructure development and pray Almighty to continue to equip him with precise knowledge, godly wisdom, sound health, renewed strength in the herculean task to building a virile and enviable state. 


He wish Muslims community, and Kogites, all Executive  members, political appointees a blissful Salah celebration. 


This year's celebration is very unique for adherents of the two great faiths in Nigeria. It culminates the 40 days prayer of lent for Christians where the faithful is expected to pray and fast and assist the poor, abhor injustice, and strife, give alm,penitently engage in self  similar value apply in the Muslims faithful currently celebrating eid al fitri

 

He uged the two faiths to imbibe the virtues of sacrifice, peace, love which characterized and exemplified the life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and Jesus Christ 


Muslims should continue with the teachings and spirit of the holy month even beyond the salah celebration, Aliu Abdulazeez noted.
