Kogi State Government Opens Pre-qualification Tender For UBEC/SUBEB Capital Projects
The Kogi State Government has opened pre-qualifications tender for UBEC/SUBEB capital projects, with a call on prospective contractors to ensure quality job.
The State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) is inviting qualified, experienced, and competent companies to participate in the tender process for the projects.
The Chairman State Universal Basic Education, Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Abdulrazaq Mohammed Yusuf, who stated this in Lokoja, explained that the government will continue to accord priority to education sector to bring about positive development.
Alhaji Abdulrazaq Mohammed Yusuf said education remains one of the thematic areas of the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that government is committed to ensuring quality education for younger generation.
The Chairman maintained that the Bid opening ceremony is not to inject quarry into the system, and warned prospective contractors to live up to specifications, stressing that anyone caught in act of shoddy job would be delt with in accordance with law or guideline of executing capital Projects.
He noted that government would not tolerate any contractors found wanting as they would be handed over to law enforcement agents for disciplinary action.
Alhaji Abdulrazaq also warned supervisors of the board who monitored the projects to avoid sharp practices and advised them to desist forthwith from such act.
The Chairman while commending the past contractors for the good job well done, expressed confidence that the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will continue to work tirelessly in the developing the state to enviable heights.
The Chairman called on teachers and pupils to reciprocate government's gesture by improving on teaching and learning for the benefit of all.
In their separate remarks, the Director Physical Planning and the representatives of the UBEC eulogized Kogi State Government for given education sector top priority especially in the execution of capital projects that have direct impact on the young generations.
