COMMISSIONER FOR AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY PAYS WORKING VISIT TO FARMWELL WA MULTI-INVESTMENT LIMITED.


The Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security has commended the efforts of Farmwell West Africa Multi-investment Limited for promoting sustainable Agriculture and Food Security in the state which is in line with the government of his Excellency, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo's Agricultural revolution in the state.


The Commissioner Noted that the presence of the organization is a testament of shared commitment to building a prosperous self-sufficient community in Agriculture.


Hon. Timothy Ojomah also  explained that the familiarization tour marks an important milestone in the journey towards achieving  sustainable growth and food sufficiency.


He emphasized that the vision of the organization represents a prosperous future where Agriculture drives economic growth, job creation and improved livelihood, stressing that together we can promote innovative farming practices, improve crop yields and enhance market access to our farmers.


"Our goal is to create an ecosystem that supports the entire Agricultural value chain, from seed to table. 



Your work is critical to our success and we look forward to continued collaboration in supporting our farmers, enhancing food security, and promoting sustainable Agricultural practices".


The Honorable Commissioner commended political appointees and stakeholders in the community for their unwavering dedication in shaping the progressive agenda of the nation.



He further charged them to uphold the values of unity and inclusivity to uplift the living standards of the citizens.


HRM Oba Alhaji S A Muhammad (the Olukotun of ife-olukotun) while receiving the Hon Commissioner and his team to the community  appreciated the government's effort in engaging the youths in farming thereby reducing festiveness and crime in the community.



He also thanked their illustrious son Engr Tehinse Taiye for deemed it fit for setting up a company and engaging the youths.


He solicited for more support in the provision of farm inputs and machinery and collaboration from the government in boosting Agricultural activities for farmers in the state.


As part of the familiarization tour, a visit was made to the farm and processing yard where the chairman, Chief Engr Tehinse Taiye(the Mayegun of Ife Olukotun) who was able represented by the Operations Manager ,Engr Taiwo Aduewa further explained that Farmwell West Africa is an integrated Agricultural Company dedicated to transforming the landscape of farming and food production. 


He said that the company is committed to community engagement and collective growth to champion sustainable agriculture and reshape the way we think about food.



Some of the sites visited at  Farmwell West Africa is green house for vegetable production, Garri processing factory, Yam/Plantain flour factory, Bottle Water factory(Aqua Farmwell), ICT Centre fully equipped etc.


Highlighting the challenges, Engr Taiwo Aduewa said that the Agri business face alot of difficulty accessing affordable credit due to high interest rates but with support from critical stakeholders, they would be able to scale up operations and productivity, generate employment opportunities and improve the well-being of the common man.


Consequently, the Farmwell West Africa is seeking for support and collaboration in areas of capacity building, access to modern agricultural equipment and funding from reputable stakeholders as this will empower the empower the company to improve it's agricultural productivity.
