The University of Maiduguri Alumni Association, Kogi State Chapter, congratulates the newly appointed V.C Unimaid, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele on his promotion .

This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the Secretary  Joshua Akor and Chairperson,Comrade Habibatu Shuaibu Onakpa in Lokoja .

The statement explained that Prof Mohammed with a background in English Language,Linguistics, and extensive experience in Teaching, Research, and Community Development, your capabilities are recognized.

It is expected that you will utilize your experience effectively as Vice-Chancellor to enhance the University's academic environment.

The Kogi State Chapter of the Alumni Association  therefore expresses joy and extends our sincere prayers for your success, health, and wisdom in leading the institution to greatness
