GOVERNOR ODODO PARTICIPATES IN NORTHERN GOVERNORS FORUM*



Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is currently in attendance at the ongoing meeting of the 19 Northern States Governors Forum, alongside traditional rulers from the region, taking place at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in Kaduna State. The primary agenda of the gathering is to address crucial issues affecting the region.


Governor Ododo is being represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, who is accompanied by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade.


The meeting forms part of the Forum’s proactive approach to engage with key stakeholders and tackle urgent concerns, particularly the persistent challenges of insecurity, out-of-school children, poverty, and other socio-economic problems plaguing the region.



Chaired by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, and hosted by Governor Uba Sani, the gathering is graced by the presence of governors from Kaduna, Gombe, Kogi, Nasarawa, Zamfara, Adamawa, Kwara, Borno, and Bauchi states, as well as the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa.


Among the distinguished attendees are traditional rulers such as the Sultan of Sokoto, Shehu of Borno, Emir of Zazzau, Emir of Kazaure, Emir of Bauchi, Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Etsu Nupe, and others.
