Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has been commended for approved the payment of the 2024/2025 WAEC fees for 18,734 Students in Public Secondary Schools in the state.

Hon Eneojo Peters  Omachi said the commended became imperative in view of the proactive measure taken by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo , saying that the  payment of the sum of Six million naira for the WAEC fees was because of his love he has for  education sector.

The All Progressive Congress APC Leader who's also a Business Tycoon in PortHarcourt,River State explained that free examination fee for pupils in public schools law enacted by the State Government was in the right direction hence it would encourage teachers and public schools across the state to seat up.

He disclosed that with the law in place, every internal and external examination for pupils in public primary schools became the responsibility of government to pay described the ideas as commendable.

He praised Governor Usman Ododo for continuing with the legacy and foundation laid by his predecessor Governor Yahaya Bello.

Hon Eneojo Peters Omachi maintained that the policy by Government is to make life easier for citizens, parents and guardians.

The All Progressive Congress APC Leader disclosed that the policy is also intended to address the syndrome of out of school children and to also ensure hundred percent  completion of education at all level.

He explained that Government intentions to pay the JAMB and NABTEB fees for students in public schools was benevolent of the state governor to reduce the borden on parents and guardians.

Hon Eneojo Peters Omachi point out that payment of the first school leaving certificate and Basic Examination School Certificate for pupils which he said would be paid is great one under his Administration.
