Govt at all levels encourage to pay senior citizens their entitlement
Government at all levels have been called upon to encourage senior citizens through payments of their benefits after retirement.
Pastor Mathew Jegede of Celestial Wounder Church Felele Community Made the call while celebrating his seventy five years birthday anniversary in Lokoja.
Pastor Mathew Jegede said life after retirement carries lots of obligation to settle, stressing that payment of gratuiting and pension will assist them to settle demands after retirement age.
The religious leader Commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his prompt payment of pensions and the ten thousand added to their pensioners.
Pastor Mathew Jegede who was the former Kogi State Treasurer CAN appealed to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to have political will aimed at paying graduities of civil servants in Kogi State.
He described seventy five years anniversary as eventful full of Gods mercies and reiterate determination to double his efforts in the service of God.
Pastor Jegede stressed that he will remain humble and dedicated to the service of God with utmost commitment, maintaining the necessity for increase prayers for the progress of the gospel.
According to him, the virtues of patience and perseverance in life is important for breakthrough and blessings.
The religious leader called on Christians leaders to always perform their social responsibility through assisting less privilege people in the society noting that love is important to the progress of the society.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the Celestial Wounder Church Felele ,Mr Daniel Jegede described pastor Mathew Jegede as a spiritual father to all noting that his humane nature has endared him to the people.
He prayed God grant him long life, wisdom and good health to do more in the service to God and humanity.
