Prime Feed & Flour Mills Ltd Organises Awareness Seminar for Farmers in Kogi State*
Prime feed and flour mills Nig Ltd, producers of guinea feeds has organised a seminar for poultry farmers in Kogi State.
The 1 day seminar which was held at Sokkams Global Hotels, Lokoja on Friday, 21st February, 2025 exposed farmers in the state to the basic and essential technical and managerial requirements for successful poultry farming.
Various resource persons who were mainly Veterinary Doctors, Animal Health and Production Experts, and poultry management specialist presented various papers on ways and means that would enhance uptimum productivity in there respective poultry farms. Farmers were also taught on steps to take to avoid loses and failure in their investments.
Highlights of the occasion were the introduction and display of various products of Prime Feed & Flour Mills Ltd by the Company's Representative, Mr Peter Igboa and presentation of awards to deserving farmers in Kogi State.
Speaking on behalf of all the awardees, the Chairman of Foodways Integrated farms Ltd, Hon. Arome Alfa, who got the platinum award as the overall best farmer in the State, appreciated the management of Prime Feeds & Flour Mills Ltd for the training/ workshop organised for poultry farmers in the state. He disclosed that the initiative of the company for the training of poultry farmers in Kogi State would go a long way to compliment the gigantic efforts of Kogi State Government under the leadership of the Chief Servant of the State, H E Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo to turn around the fortune of farmers in the State. He expressed his assurance that with the training, farmers across the state were better equipped to contribute their quota to the food security of the State.
The workshop was attended by poultry farmers across the state. Others in attendance were the Chairman Association of Veterinary Doctors and other farmer's associations in the state. Also in attendance were members of PLWD who are farmers and key players in poultry farming value chain.
