Zacharias Celebrates Kogi at 34, Commends kogi Past Leaders and Governor Ododo’s Leadership
The member representing Idah Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Safety Standards and Regulations, Rt. Hon. David Idris Zacharias, has joined millions of Kogites in celebrating the 34th anniversary of the creation of Kogi State, with glowing commendations for all Kogi Former Governors for their sacrifices, and the leadership style of the state Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo.
In a goodwill message issued through his media office, Zacharias described the anniversary as a moment of reflection on the sacrifices of the founding fathers of the state, as well as an opportunity to appreciate the progress and development achieved over the years.
He particularly applauded Governor Usman Ododo for his pragmatic, people-oriented leadership, and urge him to consolidate on the effort of past leaders which he said has already started yielding positive results in critical sectors of the state.
According to him, within just a year and a few months in office, the governor has demonstrated uncommon commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability, while prioritizing the welfare of the people.
The lawmaker noted that the administration of Governor Ododo has taken bold steps in infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, agricultural advancement, and security, thereby laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth in Kogi State.
“We are proud of our past heroes who has contributed immensely to the development of kogi state and the current governor’s efforts in positioning Kogi on a pedestal of development.
His leadership style has given hope to our people, inspired confidence in government, and shown that with dedication and sincerity of purpose, our state can achieve even greater heights. I prayed for God wisdom on him to remain steadfast in his resolve to deliver dividends of democracy to every part of Kogi State,” Zacharias stated.
While congratulating the government and the good people of Kogi on the 34th anniversary of the state, Zacharias also prayed for continuous peace, unity, and prosperity, urging the governor to be ware of those who use his name to sell enthic and divisive agendas noting that Kogi belongs to all of us and we continue to remain ones irrespective of political differences. He further urges all stakeholders to rally behind the governor in his quest to transform the state.
