 A Former People's Democratic Party ( PDP) Kogi East Senatorial candidate, Dr. Victor Alawo Adoji has officially resigned from the party. In a letter addressed to the party chairman of his ward ( Okura Aloma in Ogbonicha district of Ofu LGA,Kogi State) stated that he has decided to take a new and bold decision to further his political belief and to find a new platform to actualize his political dreams and to serve the people better. Confluence news gathered from a reliable source that his decision to change party may be unconnected to the pragmatic leadership of His Excellency, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo who is ready to transform the state to greater heights. A member of the rulling party from the area, Hon. Danjuma Ocholi stated that,the coming of Dr. Victor Alawo Adoji is going to be a welcome development and assured him of the people's unflinching support. Justice M.E Umar on February 13th, 2024, dismissed the case for lacking in merit.  However, the plaintiff, Prince Ocholi Idakwo Ameh Oboni III is insisting that the crux of the redress he seeks which lies in the Chieftaincy declaration partaning to the appointment/ascension to the throne of Ata Igala was yet to be answered.
