Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has released funds for the construction of Achara central Mosque in Tawari ward of Kogi local government area.

 


Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has released funds for the construction of Achara Central Mosque in Tawari ward of Kogi local government area.


The released of the fund was followed after the Governor's approval for the construction of the Mosque on the request by the people of Achara community at a stop over when he passes through the by pass linking Gegu- Beki - Tawari -Achara - Osuku - Kotonkarfe road during the Christmas holiday grid lock along Abuja - Lokoja high way.



 The Governor also assured of constructing the road this year 2026 considering it economic and social importance.

 Reacting to the development, the Etsu of Achara community, Alhaji Yahaya Zubairu expresses joy and appreciated the Governor for the gesture and prayed God to reward him abundantly.


 The Royal father noted that, the Governor 's stop over in Achara community is a testimony of his leadership qualities and humility and assured of their total support to the Governor for his second term bid .



 He praised the Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu for providing succour and relief for the people of Kogi local government area and beyond, describing him as the ambassador of Kogi / kotonkarfe kingdom.


 In their separate remarks, the Director, Budget and Planning for Kogi local government area, Mallam Yahaya Usman Zubairu and the councilor representing Tawari ward, Mallam Suleiman Haruna who are natives of Achara community expresses delight for the Governor 's magnanimity, asserting that the construction of the central Mosque in Achara community and the Governor 's promise to construct the road linking about fifteen communities this year 2026 will improve the socio - economic activities of the area and Kogi local government area in general.
