Students of Ajine College of Health Sciences and Technology, Agbeji in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, have been charged to remain disciplined, focused, and dedicated to their academic pursuits.

The Provost of the college, Alhaji Dr. Khalifa Umaru Sanni, gave the charge during the induction ceremony of the 2026 students held at the institution during the week.

In his address, Dr. Sanni reminded the students of the core objectives of their academic journey, stressing that their parents and guardians have invested greatly in their future. He urged them to justify this trust by striving for excellence and making their families proud through outstanding academic performance and meaningful contributions to the healthcare needs of society.

He noted that the courses offered by the college are largely self-reliant, encouraging students not to depend solely on white-collar jobs after graduation. According to him, the knowledge and skills acquired would enable them to be self-employed, support their families, and contribute responsibly to society.

The Provost also commended the lecturers for their commitment to instilling discipline and moral values in the students, urging them to sustain the standard, as academic excellence thrives in an environment of discipline and good conduct.

He further appreciated parents and guardians for their confidence in the institution, noting that students of the college have consistently demonstrated excellence and can compete favorably with their counterparts within and outside the state.

Dr. Sanni encouraged prospective students interested in health-related courses to consider the institution, assuring that the college provides quality education and practical training tailored towards community service. He emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to the rules and regulations of the college, warning that ignorance of the law would not be accepted as an excuse for indiscipline.

Highlights of the ceremony included the presentation of awards to the Provost, lecturers, and outstanding students, as well as colorful cultural displays by various student groups. The event concluded with a group photograph featuring the college management and students.
