City Boy Movement, Kogi State Holds Strategic Meeting with 21 LG Coordinators, Charges Them on Diligence* The Kogi State
The Kogi State Chapter of the City Boy Movement has convened a strategic meeting with its 21 Local Government Coordinators across the state, reaffirming its commitment to grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held at Edge Drive Hotel, Lokoja, was led by the State Director of the Movement, Hon. Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah, who charged the coordinators to remain diligent, focused, and proactive in promoting the re-election agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ogah emphasized that membership of the Movement is anchored on two key requirements: possession of a valid Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and registration as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He urged the coordinators to intensify efforts in mobilizing support at the grassroots, likening their task to that of a street vendor who tirelessly markets their goods to reach every corner of the community.
He further encouraged members to avoid political hostility, advising them not to inherit enemies but rather to spread the message of the administration’s achievements. According to him, coordinators should educate the masses on the benefits of the ongoing reforms, policies, and programmes of President Tinubu, as well as the developmental strides of Governor Ododo aimed at improving the livelihoods of Nigerians.
The State Director expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for providing an enabling environment for the Movement’s activities. He also acknowledged the presence and support of representatives of Hon. Lady Jatto and other stakeholders who graced the occasion.
The City Boy Movement, a campaign-oriented organization, is dedicated to mobilizing electorates in support of the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, with a strong focus on ensuring victory in the 2027 elections.
In their separate remarks, various speakers underscored the importance of unity, effective mobilization, and collaboration among members to achieve the Movement’s objectives. The meeting concluded on a vibrant note, with members repeatedly singing the popular slogan, “On Your Mandate We Shall Stand,” to energize and reaffirm their collective resolve.
