IMANE WARD 2 APC STAKEHOLDERS CONDEMN ALLEGED ENDORSEMENT FRAUD, CALL FOR URGENT ACTION

Concerned stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imane Ward 2, Olamaboro Local Government Area  have condemned what they describe as an “embarrassing cash-and-carry endorsement” orchestrated to mislead the public and damage the integrity of the party ahead of 2027.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja signed by Agalante Samson, the stakeholders accused Hon. Emmanuel Okpe, also Known as Stardust, of allegedly paying money to secure the endorsement of a few Ward 2 leaders at the residence of Samuel Ideyi, Secretary to Olamaboro Local Government.

The group described the action as “political prostitution” and a direct affront to the values of the APC.

“The APC in Imane is not for sale. Since when did we start trading Party tickets in Ward 2?” the statement read.

The stakeholders also faulted Hon. Okpe for allegedly parading himself as the “government candidate” and “Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s anointed,” calling it false and a serious insult .

They referenced Governor Ododo’s repeated warning against using his name for personal political gains, stating that linking him to the controversial endorsement would only provoke avoidable conflict within the Party.

The group further criticized the Ward 2, APC leadership for staging what they called a “kangaroo endorsement” that sidelined credible aspirants such as Hassan Ayuba and Kizito Abah, who they say command genuine grassroots followership and respect in Imane.

“This is not unity. This is imposition. It is already causing division and anger among members at a critical time when the party should be consolidating ahead of 2027,” the stakeholders said.

They stressed that Governor Ododo remains committed to internal democracy and would not condone any act that undermines fairness and transparency in the party’s candidate selection process.

“Emmanuel Okpe’s desperation is now a clear and present danger to APC in Olamaboro.

We want candidates who have the people at heart, not those who buy endorsements,” the statement also added.

The stakeholders called on the Imane Ward 2 APC leadership to apologize to Governor Ododo and the entire party membership and to retrace their steps before the situation escalates further.

“Olamaboro is watching. Imane is not for sale. Governor Ododo’s name is not for sale,” they concluded.

Agalante Samson.
