Chairman Kogi State Wing of Academic Staff Union Of Secondary Schools (ASUSS)
called on State and Federal Government to put necessary machineries in place to forestall bandits attacks on schools in the state.

Comrade Emeje made the call while speaking with newsmen on the recent attacks on teachers and students in Kwara state in Lokoja.

The chairman explained that government should not wait until there is an attack before striking and urged them to remain proactive in the fight against banditry in the state.

Comrade Emeje condemned the dastardly  act meted out on Teachers and Students in Kwara state ,stressing that it was totally unacceptable.

The ASUSS boss urged teachers not to be discouraged in the discharge of their official duties and prayed God to brings an end to the security challenges bedeviling the country.

He urged the people to be security conscious and reports any suspicious threats to the appropriate quarters to face the wrath of the law
