Comrade Aduku Monday the Chairman Association of Nigeria Union of Electricity Union, Comrade Monday Aduku joined thousands of Workers in Kogi State to celebrate Workers Day
Kogi State Government says it will continue to build a labour force that is competent and efficient for rapid development of the state.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo made the promise in a message to the annual workers day celebration in Lokoja.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu said his administration will continue to prioritize the welfare of Civil Servants to motivate them as engine room of government.
Governor Ododo noted that the present administration has sustained prompt and regular payment of salaries and pension, leave bonus and other incentives.
According to him, Government will prioritize harmonious industrial harmony through engagement with organized labour and described the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as impactful for workers.
He pointed out that the state government will continue to aligned with President Tinubu’s vision and called on civil servants to avoid indiscipline, inefficiency and embrace diligence, integrity and share sense of responsibility.
Highlight of the celebration includes cutting of cake and March pass by civil servants from various ministries and agencies
Speaking with newsmen shortly at reception organized by the Chairman Association of Nigeria Union of Electricity Union, Comrade Monday Aduku at Lokoja described this years celebration as a milestone for the workforce for his uniqueness delivered by the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Chairman noted that the Association would continue to deliver on his mandate through effective service .
Mr Aduku who joined others Union members in the celebration urged staff to be deligent adding the present administration under president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo to deliver on their mandate.
Comrade Aduku expressed appreciation to members who came from far and near for celebration.
