Ex-Kogi AG Sani Teidi Joins APC, Pledges to Mobilize Igala Land for Tinubu, Ododo 2027
Former Accountant General of Kogi State and _Olimene Attah Igala_, Chief Dr. Sani Teidi Shaibu, has formally defected to the All Progressives Congress, pledging to mobilize the people of Igala land for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of 2027.
Dr. Teidi spoke with newsmen in Idah shortly after his defection ceremony, which drew top party leaders including Kogi State Deputy Governor, His Excellency Salifu Oyibo; State Auditor General, Alh. Yakubu Okala; and Kogi East APC Zonal Chairman, Hon. Ogwu Alhassan. Also present were local government chairmen, APC LGA chairmen, women groups led by Fawaz, party leaders, and scores of Teidi’s admirers.
“I feel happy because I’m joining a party that is taking people to the promised land, delivering the dividends of democracy and taking care of the less privileged,” Teidi said. “As such, I’m glad to be associated with the party.”
The former Accountant General described Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as “an embodiment of humility with an awesome sense of responsibility” and “somebody you can work with, somebody that fears God.” He said his defection was to set an example for his people and contribute to the betterment of Kogi State.
On the national front, Teidi lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. “Mr. President is doing a lot. And as such, all hands must be on deck to see that he succeeds at the polls in 2027,” he stated.
He vowed not to relent in grassroots mobilization for the President’s re-election bid. “At our own level, we will not rest. We will ensure we work tirelessly for his success,” Teidi declared.
