To this end, the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism ,Hajia Fatimah Momoh 
described as one of the veritable tools for economic sustainability and identification of propelling force for  identity and patriotism in the society.

The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hajia Fatimah  Momoh made the remark at the World Cultural Day celebration in Lokoja.

Hajia Fatimah Momoh explained that every May yearly  been set aside by the United Nations as World Cultural Day to create awareness among the International communities about the importance of culture and it's socio economic and  potential values.

She explained that the aimed  at providing  culture and Tourism as worthy human ventures capable of transforming societies optimally.
This years theme is , World Day for Culture,Diversity for Dialogue and Sustainable Development, adding that one of the core elements is sustain culture for cultural industry to take into confidence the cultural development decisions.
She called on the private sectors to join hands with the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the development and provision of vast cultural resources in the State.

The Commissioner commended kogi State Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo for his unwavering support to the ministry since inception of his administration, pointed out that the Culture and Tourism ministry has placed strategies towards actualizing the vision and mission of his government in order to  place kogi State in World Tourism Map, she said.
In a remark, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mallam Abdurahaman Otaru and Director Arts , Culture and Creative Economy, Elder Chris Yakubu said this years celebration is unique as the ministry would continue to work hard in the sustainability of culture and Tourism and commended the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for being culture and Tourism friendly at all times appealed to private organizations and individuals to collaborate with the ministry to bring about positive development in culture and Tourism sector.
Highlight of the ceremony was the entertainment of cultural dance by the Kogi Arts and Culture Troop's
