Yagba East demonstrated political unity as critical stakeholders across the LGA formally endorsed and signed Abejide’s nomination and expression of interest forms.

The well-attended exercise drew top political figures and grassroots leaders who affirmed support for his continued representation, citing impactful leadership and visible achievements.

Those who appended signatures included Yagba East LG Chairman, Dr Joshua Dare; Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr Folashade Ayoade; and Yagba East APC Chairman, Abdurazaq Olusegun;

Others were: all APC Ward Chairmen; members of the Local Government Executive; state appointees; and other influential stakeholders.

Dare said the endorsement goes beyond routine political support, describing it as a people-driven decision rooted in performance, trust, and accessibility.

“Leadership is best judged by results, and Hon. Abejide has proven himself worthy of continued support. This unified endorsement reflects the voice of our people and our commitment to progress,” Dare stated.

Meanwhile, Yagba East APC Chairman, Abdurazaq Olusegun, confirmed that Abejide's return to the APC was earlier formalised on March 15, 2026, at his Ward 04.

According to Olusegun, party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters turned out in large numbers to welcome him.

The stakeholders in both LGAs emphasised the need for continuity to enhance development.

They stressed that sustaining experienced and result-oriented leadership remains key to advancing developmental strides already recorded in the constituency.

The twin endorsements are seen as a major political boost for the lawmaker seeking his third term in the National Assembly, as momentum builds across Yagba Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Analysts opined that Abejide’s influence could shape the political direction of Kogi West.
