The Director General, Kogi State Bureau of Lands, TPL Kehinde Augustine Salihu-Otaru gave the assurance while leading a team of professionals to assess the value of land and structures behind the ongoing construction and the redevelopment of the Central Mosque directly in front of the Palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Tijani Mohammad Aneje, in Okene.

He explained that the relocation of the affected property owners will be devoid of stress noting that their new settlement would have been completed even with basic amenities before relocation.

On the alleged fear that grievances may occurred due to properties jointly owned by family members, the Director General who explained that several meetings have been held in that regard said such issues have been identified and thrashed out in order to achieve an holistic results during compensation and within the time frame of this year.

In a separate development, TPL Salihu-Otaru also said the Bureau of Lands is corroborating with the Asuwe clan to acquire land that will be utilized and designed for a new Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Okene.

Speaking on the corraboration, the Chairman of Asuwe Clan, Mr Usman Salihu Ojatuwhuo who described Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as a tested and trusted leader emphasized that his clan strongly believe he will do them no wrong and is ready to cooperate with the government on issues of development.

Similarly the secretary of the Clan Mr Jimoh Enebe  said the Asuwe Clan has donated lands for most government projects like schools, the cemetery, and others and will not hesitate to give out lands for any government development
